Use case · research continuity

Preserve the evolving shape of your research — what was believed, what changed, and what remains uncertain.

FoldEngine's Research Runtime tracks claims against evidence, flags overclaiming, records evidence gaps, and preserves continuity across runs in a bounded local workflow.

In build / internal proof

The problem

Research context gets lost. Across many sessions and tools, what was believed, what the evidence actually supported, and what remained uncertain blur together — and earlier reasoning is hard to recover.

What FoldEngine preserves

  • Prior claims.
  • Evidence support.
  • Evidence gaps.
  • Overclaim warnings.
  • Continuity records.
  • The next research step.

Who this is for

Medical research, climate research, AI safety research, technical due diligence, and legal / policy research — work where the integrity of an inquiry matters as much as any single answer.

The key shift

This is not about answering questions faster. It is about preserving the integrity of inquiry over time — keeping claims, evidence, and uncertainty honestly connected across runs.

Deployment profiles

The Local Research Runtime is built and run internally today as part of FoldEngine Runtime. Deployment status is product-specific:

  • Mac / Linux workstation — primary.
  • Linux server / local node — in build.
  • Raspberry Pi / edge — planned only, claimed once validated; a deployment target, not a product.
  • Distributed today as an internal pre-release runtime artifact.
  • Not hosted; no auth/TLS; no external web research.

Boundaries

  • No medical or legal advice.
  • No web-research claim.
  • Not a production research platform.

Where to go next

Use the Runtime Preview to inspect the governed runtime path, or open the explainers when you want a simpler walkthrough of consequence boundaries and evidence continuity.

Preview only. No live repo access. No autonomous execution. New demos will be added separately once they match the current product story.
