FoldEngine
Terms of Service
Last updated: May 9, 2026
These Terms of Service explain the basic rules for using the FoldEngine website and purchasing FoldEngine probes or stabilization services. By using this website or purchasing a FoldEngine service, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
FoldEngine provides bounded project probes and stabilization loops for software, technical, operational, and evidence-heavy projects.
Website: https://www.foldengine.ca
Contact: info@foldengine.ca
2. What FoldEngine offers
FoldEngine currently offers:
- free public demos and examples;
- Free First Probe requests;
- Star Support Probe reports;
- Stability-Signal Probe diagnostics;
- AI Code Stability Probe diagnostics;
- Paid Trial Diagnostic services;
- AI Stack Audit services;
- Dependency Watch quarterly scoped reviews;
- Custom / Quote engagements by direct discussion and invoice.
FoldEngine probes are designed to inspect visible evidence, check layered invariants, surface evidence gaps, produce seed candidates, issue a proceed/hold/block decision receipt, and recommend governed next steps.
3. Free demos and public examples
Free demos and public examples are provided for education and product evaluation. They may use curated public repositories or static examples. They are not a guarantee that FoldEngine can analyze every project or repository.
4. Free First Probe requests
Free First Probe requests are reviewed before any probe is run. Submitting a request does not guarantee that FoldEngine will run a probe.
Public repo/project surfaces may be eligible for a bounded Free First Probe after review. Private, mixed, sensitive, or unclear requests require manual scoping and do not authorize automatic public Trial execution.
FoldEngine may decline a request if:
- the repository or project is unclear, too large, or unsuitable for current bounds;
- the request involves private, mixed, or sensitive material that has not been separately scoped;
- the requester does not appear to have permission to submit it;
- the request asks for a full audit, security review, legal review, or other unsupported service;
- the question is too vague to produce a useful bounded result.
5. Governed probe services
Governed probe services are bounded decision-support packages. They include Star Support Probe, Stability-Signal Probe, AI Code Stability Probe, Paid Trial Diagnostic, AI Stack Audit, Dependency Watch, and Custom / Quote work where scoped. Governed probes are scoped to the selected product/surface and decision question; they are not automatically scoped to an entire repository.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a governed probe may include:
- review of the submitted product/surface, decision question, and approved evidence boundary;
- bounded public or separately approved evidence review;
- bounded findings and evidence gaps;
- seed candidates (bounded change proposals);
- a proceed/hold/block decision receipt;
- governed next-step queue with hold conditions where applicable;
- a private Stability Ledger summary when continuity applies.
Governed probes do not include:
- a full code review;
- a security audit;
- penetration testing;
- legal, financial, tax, medical, or compliance advice;
- guaranteed business outcomes;
- implementation work;
- unrestricted repository analysis or automatic whole-repo scope;
- private repository access unless separately agreed.
6. Custom / Quote engagements
Custom / Quote engagements are quoted separately. Scope, deliverables, timing, price, and communication expectations must be agreed before work begins.
7. Repository and project submissions
Only submit repository URLs, project information, documents, or other materials that you have the right to share.
If you submit a public repository URL, FoldEngine may review public metadata, files, documentation, tests, benchmark artifacts, issues, pull requests, or other visible evidence as part of a requested probe.
If your request involves private, mixed, or sensitive context, use only safe high-level descriptions unless a separate written agreement and handling process is in place. Submitting private/sensitive context does not authorize automatic public Trial execution.
Do not provide GitHub tokens, account credentials, private source code, or confidential client materials through the public website, intake form, or ordinary email.
Do not submit secrets, passwords, private access keys, private credentials, regulated personal data, confidential client data, or sensitive information unless a separate written agreement is in place.
8. Payments
Payments may be processed through Stripe or another payment provider. FoldEngine does not store full payment card numbers.
Prices may change over time. Custom / Quote engagements may require separate invoices or written quotes.
9. Refunds and cancellations
For paid governed probes, refunds are handled case by case. If you believe a payment was made in error, contact info@foldengine.ca as soon as possible.
Once a diagnostic has been started, reviewed, or delivered, refunds may be limited or unavailable.
Custom / Quote refund and cancellation terms should be agreed as part of the specific engagement.
10. No guaranteed outcomes
FoldEngine provides structured analysis and recommendations, but does not guarantee:
- that every issue will be found;
- that a project is safe, secure, correct, complete, or compliant;
- that a repository claim is scientifically proven;
- that a business, technical, or operational outcome will occur.
FoldEngine findings should be treated as bounded diagnostic support, not as a substitute for professional legal, financial, security, compliance, medical, or engineering review where those are required.
11. Intellectual property
The FoldEngine name, website, logos, design, product language, reports, and related materials are owned by FoldEngine or its creator unless otherwise stated.
You keep ownership of materials you submit. By submitting materials for a probe, you give FoldEngine permission to review and use them only as needed to provide the requested service, communicate with you, improve the workflow, or maintain business records.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the website or services to:
- submit materials you do not have permission to share;
- attempt to access private systems without authorization;
- submit secrets, credentials, malware, or harmful content;
- abuse, overload, scrape, or interfere with the site or APIs;
- misrepresent FoldEngine findings as guarantees, certifications, or audits.
13. Third-party services
FoldEngine may use third-party services such as Stripe, Google Workspace, Vercel, Google Cloud / Cloud Run, GitHub, and related infrastructure providers. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies.
14. Privacy
Use of FoldEngine is also governed by the Privacy Policy: https://www.foldengine.ca/privacy/.
15. Availability and changes
The website and services may change, pause, or be discontinued at any time. FoldEngine may update these Terms as the product evolves. The updated version will be posted on this page.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FoldEngine is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption arising from use of the website or services.
FoldEngine's total liability for a paid service is limited to the amount paid for that specific service, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada.
