Information that may be collected

FoldEngine may receive information you choose to provide, including:

• name and email address;
• company, project, or context information;
• public repo or project URL submitted for a probe, where safe to share;
• repo/project visibility, permission confirmation, question, decision context, product/surface focus, included/excluded surfaces, invariant or claim to test, and safe high-level private or sensitive project descriptions;
• post-probe feedback and testimonial permission preferences, if you choose to submit them;
• messages sent through email or contact links;
• payment information handled by Stripe;
• basic technical logs from hosting, payment, and infrastructure providers where applicable; and
• limited public website usage information from Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics where enabled, such as page interactions, device/browser information, and aggregate traffic patterns.

How information is used

FoldEngine uses information to:

• respond to inquiries;
• process governed probe requests;
• deliver probes, reports, and scoped stabilization services;
• manage customer support and follow-up;
• improve probe reports and publish testimonials only when explicit permission is captured;
• maintain security and reliability; and
• meet legal, accounting, and business record obligations.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. FoldEngine does not store full card numbers. Stripe handles payment information under its own policies and systems.

Third-party services

FoldEngine may use third-party services including Stripe for payments, Google Workspace for email, Google Forms and Sheets for intake and lightweight pipeline records, Vercel for website hosting, Google Cloud / Cloud Run for API hosting, and GitHub for public repo metadata where a public repo probe is requested.

Analytics

FoldEngine may use Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics to understand basic public website usage, diagnose reliability issues, and improve navigation and service clarity. Google Analytics is not loaded on authenticated client portal pages in the current v1 boundary posture. Analytics is not used as the source of truth for client ledgers, probe reports, CRM records, payments, or delivery decisions.

FoldEngine keeps analytics configuration privacy-conscious where practical and does not intentionally send secrets, private source code, CRM Client ID values, raw probe reports, or confidential client materials to analytics events.

Repository probes

FoldEngine probes are bounded and reviewed. Do not submit repos or project information unless you have the right to do so. For requested diagnostics, FoldEngine may review public repo metadata, public evidence, a provided artifact, or safe high-level project context relevant to the submitted product/surface and decision question.

The public Trial runner does not process private repositories automatically. Private, mixed, or sensitive requests require manual scoping and a separate agreement or handling process before non-public material is checked under a governed process. FoldEngine does not ask for GitHub tokens through the public intake form.

Do not submit secrets, passwords, private access keys, credentials, private source code, regulated personal data, confidential client data, or sensitive material through the public form or email unless a separate written agreement and handling process is in place.

Feedback and testimonials

Feedback submitted through FoldEngine feedback forms may be stored in Google Workspace for follow-up and service improvement. Feedback is private by default. Public testimonials are only published with explicit permission, reviewed attribution preferences, and removal of confidential details.

Do not include source code, credentials, secrets, confidential client information, regulated personal data, or sensitive personal data in feedback.

Data retention

FoldEngine keeps inquiry, probe, payment, and delivery records only as long as reasonably needed for business, support, accounting, or legal purposes.

Your choices

You can contact info@foldengine.ca to request access, correction, or deletion of your information where applicable.

Security

FoldEngine uses reasonable safeguards for the service stage and data involved, but no internet service is perfectly secure.

Changes

This policy may be updated as FoldEngine evolves. The updated date on this page will change when the policy is revised.
